Ultrasonic Units

An ultrasonic cleaning machine, also known as an ultrasonic cleaner, is a specialized device used for cleaning dental instruments using high-frequency sound waves. It employs a process called ultrasonic cleaning, which is highly effective at removing contaminants and particles from your instruments.

At the heart of the ultrasonic cleaner is a transducer, typically made of piezoelectric materials like ceramics or crystals. These transducers convert electrical energy into high-frequency mechanical vibrations.

When the ultrasonic cleaner is turned on, the transducer generates high-frequency sound waves, typically in the range of 20 kHz to 40 kHz. As the ultrasonic waves pass through the cleaning solution, they cause the rapid formation and collapse of microscopic bubbles in the liquid. The implosion of these bubbles creates intense pressure and micro-jets of fluid, which effectively scrub, dislodge, and remove dirt, grease, and contaminants from the items placed in the tank.

Timers and heating elements are also key components to the ultrasonic tanks. Most brands come with the internal stainless-steel baskets, and others are sold separately. HCS also sells beakers for small items so they don’t get drained down the sink.

HCS carries name brand and generic ultrasonic cleaning units.  From small to large HCS has many choices to fit your needs. Ultrasonic tanks can either sit on top of the counter or be recessed into the countertop. Though some ultrasonics may be more expensive than others, all styles Healthcare Supply sells are trustworthy and can be counted on.
